The PRIGO Language and Humanities Grammar School

After graduating from elementary school, you can continue to study one of our 8-year, 6-year or 4-year study programmes at the PRIGO Medical and Science Grammar School or at the PRIGO Language and Humanities Grammar School. We also offer several other specializations at the PRIGO High School (such as Pre-school and Extra-curricular Pedagogy, Veterinary Medicine, Business Academy, Economics and Business in Sport).

The PRIGO Language and Humanities Grammar School provides education in the six-year and four-year Grammar School cycle, focusing on very well-performing students who are interested in general Grammar School education with extensive teaching of languages and humanities and their related disciplines. At the same time, it is a Grammar School with a strong emphasis on language preparation in English, German, Spanish and Russian, which also includes lessons provided by native speakers and foreign students taking part in school and after-school activities. As one of few schools, our Grammar School is licensed by the Ministry of Education to teach some subjects in a foreign language, which is also reflected in our students’ school reports. The Language and Humanities Grammar School also prepares students for the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme. It is a faculty school of the University of Ostrava and a faculty school of the Law Faculty of the Palacky University in Olomouc.
