The PRIGO Medical and Science Grammar School

After graduating from elementary school, you can continue to study one of our 8-year, 6-year or 4-year study programmes at the PRIGO Medical and Science Grammar School or at the PRIGO Language and Humanities Grammar School. We also offer several other specializations at the PRIGO High School (such as Pre-school and Extra-curricular Pedagogy, Veterinary Medicine, Business Academy, Economics and Business in Sport).

The PRIGO Medical and Natural Science Grammar School provides courses on the premises of a modern campus in Ostrava with top equipment, laboratories and a botanical garden. The school provides education in the six-year and four-year Grammar School cycle. As one of few schools, our Grammar School is licensed by the Ministry of Education to teach some subjects in a foreign language (English or German – bilingual teaching), which is also reflected in our students’ school reports. The School places a strong emphasis on the field of science, particularly as regards medical, pharmaceutical and veterinary fields or the fields of science and technology. It cooperates not only with medical faculties but also with other universities within the country and abroad. It collaborates with a Medical Faculty on a project “a university student on a trial”. It is a faculty school of the Charles University in Prague.
